UGREEN’s HomeAgent HA100 has a pitch that immediately got my attention: a NAS that also serves as the center of a smart-home and camera setup. UGREEN sent me the HA100 along with the SynCare ID500 Pro indoor camera and OD600 Pro outdoor camera. I photographed the lineup at the company’s event, and I am working toward a full home review. Here are my first impressions of the products and the questions I want that review to answer. Explore the UGREEN lineup.
Disclosure: UGREEN provided this gear and covered my travel to its event. This post includes affiliate links, which may earn me a commission. These are early impressions based on the hardware and event experience, not conclusions from long-term testing.
The HomeAgent HA100 is the centerpiece
The most interesting thing about the HA100 is the combination. It is network storage for files and media, but UGREEN also intends it to manage camera footage and smart-home features. That could be useful for someone like me who creates a lot of photo and video content and wants one place for home security recordings. I like the ambition of bringing those jobs together. The question is whether the software makes them feel connected and easy to manage in real life. I still need to test file access, camera playback, search, and day-to-day reliability before calling this a recommendation. Explore HomeAgent.
SynCare ID500 Pro: the indoor piece
The ID500 Pro is the camera I can most readily imagine incorporating into a room. The indoor model is designed to pan and tilt, and UGREEN includes a physical privacy shutter. That shutter is a detail I appreciate in an indoor camera, where the question of when the lens is exposed matters. I want to see how responsive the tracking is, how useful the alerts are, and how naturally footage flows back to the HA100. Those are the kinds of things a display demo cannot settle. See UGREEN’s cameras.
SynCare OD600 Pro: promising, with a setup decision
The OD600 Pro is the outdoor PoE camera in my kit. Its multi-lens design is visually striking and promises both a broad view and a closer movable view. I am curious whether that combination actually helps cover an entry or driveway better than a single fixed view. Power over Ethernet is sensible if you have a good cable route: one cable can carry power and data. At my home, the place I want the camera does not yet have that route, so I cannot report on its real-world image quality or alerts. UGREEN has a separate solar-powered outdoor model, the OD800 Pro, but I have not found a confirmed solar accessory for the OD600 Pro. Explore the outdoor lineup.
Why this is a first look
I briefly explored setting the system up at the studio, but the Ethernet location would have put the gear in an awkward spot. At home, the outdoor power route is the obstacle. I do not want to turn those logistics into a verdict on the products. They do shape the review I am planning, because a smart-home setup has to fit the space where it will live.
My early take is that the HA100 and SynCare cameras form an interesting set, especially for someone who likes local storage and wants cameras tied into the same system. I like the idea and the hardware direction. The full review will have to answer the harder questions: how smooth setup is, how useful the software becomes over time, and whether the camera performance earns a permanent place in my home. I will update you when I can test those things properly.
Update: UGREEN’s launch timeline has changed
October 28, 2026: In an October 22 update sent to me, UGREEN said it has rescheduled the AIoT Kickstarter launch to April 13, 2027. The earliest estimated product delivery is now late June 2027. UGREEN says it is using the additional time to improve Matter compatibility and device connectivity, AI features, testing across the ecosystem, and multilingual support. The company said previously promised customer benefits and promotional offers will remain in place and that customers who want to cancel reservations will have a way to request refunds. I’ll keep this first look updated as I learn more.
