Peak Design Everyday Leather Loop is my everyday-carry pick and my most-used case. Nomad Modern Leather stands out to me for its burgundy finish, materials, and design. MagBak Elite is my utility pick, with great magnets, a finger loop, a kickstand, and a finger pillow.
All three made my Top 3 from my iPhone 18 Pro Max case haul. Here is how I think about choosing between them, based on what I actually keep using and what I value in a case.

Which of these three cases would I choose?
For my everyday carry: Peak Design Everyday Leather Loop. The loop-and-leather combination is what I love, and this is the case I have used most.
For leather materials and design: Nomad Modern Leather. The burgundy version is the one that stands out to me. Its materials and design are top notch.
For practical features: MagBak Elite. The magnets, finger loop, kickstand, and finger pillow make it a great utility case in my experience.
Peak Design Everyday Leather Loop: my everyday case
Peak Design Everyday Leather Loop has been my everyday-carry case. I love the combination of the loop and leather, and it has been my most-used case from this group.
That preference carries over from last year: I used the cloth version for the iPhone 17 Pro Max for most of the year. The leather version is the one I keep reaching for now.
Who I would point toward it: someone who likes the idea of a leather case with a loop and wants to see what I choose for my own daily setup. My strongest recommendation here is grounded in that repeated use.

Nomad Modern Leather: the burgundy leather choice
The burgundy Nomad Modern Leather is nice. The materials and design are top notch, and those are the qualities that make it stand out to me in this shortlist.
I care about how a case feels, not just how it looks in a product photo. Leather is one of the materials I am drawn to, and this is a case I would put in front of someone who places a high priority on materials and design.
Who I would point toward it: someone who wants a leather case and is drawn to that burgundy look. Watch the Nomad chapter for a closer view of the finish and design before deciding.

MagBak Elite: my utility pick
MagBak Elite is just a great utility case. In my use, the magnets are great, and the finger loop, kickstand, and finger pillow give it several practical features that I appreciate.
Who I would point toward it: someone whose priorities line up with those features. If a loop, a stand, and magnetic attachment are high on your list, this is the one from my Top 3 I would have you look at closely.

What matters to me when comparing cases
My priorities are tactile buttons, materials with a good texture, access to the USB port for accessories, useful grip options, good magnetic attachment, and a finish that does not collect fingerprints. Leather, wood, sandstone, and cloth are textures I prefer over a plasticky feel.
A feature only matters to me if it makes the case more useful or practical. The biggest question is which case I keep coming back to. In this group, Peak Design Everyday Leather Loop answers that question for my everyday carry.

Questions before choosing
Is Peak Design my favorite for everyday use?
Yes. The Everyday Leather Loop has been my everyday-carry case and my most-used case. I love the leather-and-loop combination. Nomad and MagBak still earn their place in my Top 3 for the different qualities described above.
Which would I look at for magnetic attachment and utility?
MagBak Elite is my utility pick, and I have found its magnets great in use. That is my experience, rather than a measured pull-force ranking of all three. Check compatibility with your exact charger, wallet, or mount before buying.
Which is the slimmest or most protective?
This comparison does not establish a measured thickness ranking or a controlled drop-test winner. If you carry a wallet or grip, judge the complete setup, including the attachment. Check each manufacturer’s claims and limitations for your exact case model.
Are the iPhone Air and Pro Max cases interchangeable?
No. Choose the version made for your exact phone. My separate MagBak Elite iPhone Air review covers a different phone and fit.
