Raise The Roof – Part One.

WHEN STRONG MEN ARE WEAK.

Ezekiel 22:30. Looking for someone to stand in the gap.

Same man that is the same in public as he is in private.

We have got to recognize our ceilings.

Sampson was an incredibly STRONG man with a dangerously WEAK will.

High potential but low ceiling.

Sampson Nazarite Vow:

No alcohol.

Don’t touch dead things.

Don’t cut your hair. Symbol like a wedding ring.

Might be committed in one area like a job but not committed to other important areas in our lives. We will spend hours researching things. But can’t spend five minutes with The Lord

Attitudes That Make Strong Men Weak.

Lust: I WANT it.

Judges 14:1-2

Something we desire. A woman, man, stuff, money. “I got to have more.”

All Sampson saw was the woman despite Gods command to not to marry someone from another culture. The Philistines worshiped other gods.

Entitlement: I DESERVE it.

Judges 14:8-9

Sin will make you do things that you never thought that you would do. He reaches inside a dead body and grabbed honey from it. That’s just nasty. Logic just goes out the window. Find yourself doing things you never thought you would do.

Pride: I can HANDLE it.

Judges 14:10

Feast = a party with drinking. Pride comes before the fall. I’m strong I can handle this mentality. Edge of the cliff.

Sampson ended up being entertainment for his enemy.

My ceiling will be my kids ceiling. They will face what I don’t conquer. I don’t want my kids to get over the sins of my life.

If you’re in a place of comfort. You quit trying. Satan likes to put limitations on us.

Attitudes That Make Weak Men Strong.

I want GOD!

Come to the place of wanting Him more.

You want doors open in your life? Put God first. I want God. It’s on to say that you can’t handle it. Be humble. Comes to God.

Can people say when they see you that they have been with God? Do I yell at my kids more than I poor love into them?

I DESERVE death.

God doesn’t owe us. He already paid the price.

I CANNOT handle it. We have to let God help us.
