Huawei released their second generation smartwatch, the Huawei Watch 2. The first gen smartwatch became a favorite among many who like to use smartwatches because of the classic design and software experience. Not to mention many of the deals you could snag on the watch. The Huawei Watch 2 is now up to bat and available to purchase in MANY stores. Here’s what you need to know.
Huawei has changed up the design a little bit going with a sportier design, apart from the classic look we got used to. Personally, I like classic styles more. Seems like sport designs are the way some companies are going for this year. LG released their flagship smartwatch with the LG Watch Sport.
Huawei Watch 2 Design
The LG Watch Sport is HUGE. Luckily, Huawei toned down the girth of their watch. It’s got a comfortable, lightweight build instead.
The Huawei Watch 2 is taking aim at those interested in keeping up with fitness or active lifestyles. I will say this, when I workout or participate in activities, I tend to not want to wear a classic style watch. Rather, I’d prefer to wear something that can take on the elements and sweat. SO, this could be a perspective Huawei is keeping mind.
Typically, I want to wear a smartwatch at all times, whether it’s every day tasks or fitness, I want an accurate record by keeping the watch on. If I take a classic design off while working out, I miss out on tracking those activities.
Classic Option – There is a classic variant, but you’re gonna pay a little bit more compared to the sport style. My suggestion for the Classic style is to buy a rubber wristband to swap out to when working out. That way you’ll not ruin a leather or metal band.
